BRING A PROFESSIONAL THEATRE PRODUCTION INTO YOUR SCHOOL, AND GIVE YOUR STUDENTS AN EXPERIENCE THEY’LL NEVER FORGET.

Official Nominee, 2025 Matilda Awards (Best Costume Design)

Identity is a bold, immersive physical theatre production that invites students to sit with the question that shapes every young person’s life: Who are you?

In an asylum—The Institute of Fractured Whispers—we follow four strangers’ journeys and reflections through a striking blend of physical theatre, poetic movement, and multilingual storytelling.

As the audience is guided by a mysterious Voiceover to move through the space, standing face to face with the performers, the boundaries between stage and spectator blur…

The result is a visceral, thought-provoking encounter that sparks genuine reflection and conversation.

Performance styles and conventions: Storytelling, collage drama, contemporary political theatre, contemporary performance, physical theatre, fragmentation, non-linear form, immersive theatre and site-specific performance.

Themes: identity, belonging, societal pressure, conformity, self-perception, labels, human connection and diversity.

Students will leave with: a shared, thought-provoking artistic experience and the language and critical thinking tools to reflect, discuss, and respond to it.

‘D.I.V.E. gave the participants an awesome experience to remember forever and transformed how some students think of theatre.’ — Teacher, Hong Kong International School

‘Identity reminds us that beneath surface differences, we can discover profound commonalities. Audiences leave with a deepened sense of community, understanding that we’re not as separate as boundaries and labels might suggest. Identity proves that connection transcends face value – we are not so different after all!’ — Georgia Haupt, Anywhere Festival Review

‘It was topical and relevant in a world that demands conformity and homogeneity.‘ — Audience Review
